We just finished our second visit to Couples Resort and are planning a future visit. This is no small feat since we have an 8+ hour drive from home. This time we had a top floor Jr. Suite. The balcony was very private and allowed us to linger whenever we felt like it. Since this was a return visit, I had a free spa treatment [hot stone massage]. The weather didn't always cooperate but we still hiked, biked and canoed, either nearby or in Algonquin Provincial Park. Our favorite waiter from our first visit still works at the resort and we had him for every dinner but one [his day off]. Thank you Couples Resort for another wonderful stay! Sue & Dave Bakke |

Well, 5 stars, they might as well have come from a hunting and fishing magazine. I expect few but certain things when I pay the price for five star service, number one, there was ABSOLUTLEY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE Our room was very dated, burn holes in the carpet, a large minibar fridge with a couple pops in it? Give your guests the oppoutunity to spend some money!! My wife and I had to go to the l.c.b.o to get a few. $14 for a glass of house wine, that stuff better be vintage, it is not. The proprietor has her name on every poorly done painting on the entire property inluding the welcome sign, but drove away when we entered her studio, whatever. From the beard hair in my wifes amuse to the waitress telling me about the fridge "finally working for a change" to the same waitress telling me that all the sauces were "from a can", and they were, I will suggest that the couples resort not only be avoided, but that they have their stars put somewhere more appropriate. My husband and I visited the Couple's Resort in November 2009 and we loved it !! We have been trying to plan a return trip ever since. I would recommend the Master Junior Suites. We toured all of the rooms and these ones were by far the nicest. The food was great and we loved the private outdoor hot tub, steam shower, wood fire place, king size bed and big screen television. We ordered room service for every meal and didn't leave our room. We can't wait to return !! Leanne |

We came here for our 25th anniversary... loved the Orion Chateau! A beautiful private cottage... with our own hot-tub, steam room, jacuzzi, and a view! Unfortunately we were not impressed with the food during room-service, but did enjoy what we ate in the dining room. Breakfast and dinners were included in the costs... but no pop or alcohol. Overall, we did enjoy ourselves. Diane Warner |

We just came back from spending 2 days at the resort. The hidden charges and the overpriced rooms was the first let down. Had I known the price per night and the extra charges I would not allowed my husband to book this weekend. We paid close to one thousand dollars for the weekend, it did include breakfast and dinner. The junior suite room we stayed in had not been upgraded since the early 70's and the facilities was nothing to brag about, had we spent another thousand I'm sure we would have had a newer updated room. Unfortunately not returning. unless Gisele Spratt |

My husband and I spent a night on July 28, 2010. We were very unimpressed. There was absolutely no customer service. The rooms were ok but the mini bar was empty other than a few cans of pop. Ummm...Couples Resort...you may want to offer wine or champagne in the room for purchase. But really, a glass of house wine down at the bar was $14! That is ridiculous. Go to the LCBO up the street and get your own supply. My husband and I are chefs and were really unhappy with the dinner. My amuse came with a beard hair on it and the sauces were all packaged. If you brag about being a 5 star, you better get a chef that can cook from scratch. Oh and if you want to rent a movie in your room it was $15 and a bottle of bath salts was $15.50! Are you guys for real? We never experienced any pampering as the sign says...don't bother going. juliana vasiljevic |

Thank you Couple's Resort. We spent last weekend July 23-25 in the most incredible "slice of Heaven". We were in the Congo Exotic Suite. The staff was amazing, with a knack of making you feel like you were their only guests. We both work very hard and many hours, but by Saturday night the two of us were so relaxed as we sat on our private deck having just had a hottub and pre-dinner cocktail, saying that we could not remember feeling this relaxed. "Melted butter" was the term I used. The weather was not fabulous on Saturday, so we walked the trails, and just spent time in our hottub and steam shower, but got out in the canoe on Sunday morning after breakfast before we had to depart. We had room service on Saturday morning for breakfast, and had the rest of our meals in the dining room....outstanding, delicious, and service beyond belief. My only disappointment is that it wasn't long enough! One full day is definitely not enough to take in everything that the Couple's Resort has to offer. I am a Travel Agent and have recommended it to everyone I cross paths with this week but absolutely make it a minimum of 3 nights and 4 days...we actually could spend a week and NEVER run out of things to do together...what an amazing way to shed the everyday and concentrate on each other! Thank you to all the staff, and we definitely will see you all again soon, I'm thinking February would be awesome! Tammie and Dave Tammie Gordon |

We just spent the most fantastic honeymoon ever at The Couples Resort!!!! A honeymoon is something you never want to forget, the resort and staff succeeded in making this an amazing experience. From renting a boat to horseback riding....to just relaxing in our chalet(Rhea);) it was truly amazing from start to finish. After reading the last few entries in this guestbook, I can not for the life of me understand how this place could ever get a bad testimonial about it. Thank you so much for making this an amazing honeymoon for us. Trevor & Courtney |

Hello:
I had the pleasure of enjoying and celebrating my 50th birthday a few years ago in the sumptuous, gorgeous, hospitable and intimate surroundings of the Couples Resort. It was a time I will always treasure, especially after coming from interior camping for 5 days in Algonquin. We were quite the picture upon our arrival...you can imagine!! It was the perfect time and place to appreciate your beautiful resort after our camping, portaging & fishing trip. I cannot tell you how wonderful all the amenities (& amazing food)meant to us...like heaven!! I continually enter the monthly contest and hopefully one day my email will deliver some good news!! We eagerly look forward to a return stay...maybe later this summer.
On my sterling referral of the Couples Resort, my youngest brother,Seamas Dolan and his wife, Patrice will be staying with you for 4 nights of relaxation and enjoyment. I believe they will be arriving Aug 10. I just wanted to note their arrival to you as I know they will be very well taken care of and warmly welcomed. They have very busy lives, especially my brother,he never stops, and taking the time to relax is always a challenge for him. I know the lovely Couples Resort and amazing staff will deliver!!
Enjoy the rest of the summer and best wishes for continued success. Hoping to see ya'll soon.

My husband and I have been to Couples resort 2 times in the past in September of 2003 and February of 2008. We are returning in a few weeks for our 3rd visit and hoping to make it yearly for our anniversary. We LOVED our stay both times. In 2008 we stayed in a masters jr suite. Wow, that room was unbelievable, it left such an impression on us that we booked the exact same room for our stay this August. We arrived early and our room was ready. It was stunning. Floor to ceiling fireplace, dining area, fridge fully stocked, steam shower, heat lamp, in room huge jacuzzi, large private outdoor hot tub on our deck, vaulted ceiling, sitting area, HUGE comfy bed, 50" tv, movies, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, wow I really could go on forever. The staff were outstanding, in fact several of the staff we met on our first visit in 2003. Housekeeping was fantastic. We never heard a vacuum or saw them in the halls, and we were in our room A LOT, but when we did venture off we would return to find it immaculate. All of the staff were amazing and helped make our stay's extremely enjoyable, yes we were spoiled in every way. Some have commented about "hidden fees". I have to say that the couples resort website goes through EVERYTHING. When I called to book our visit this time around, Karen answered my every question (and i called back 3 times before booking with questions!) Mary was sure to tell me about the eco fees, non-alcoholic beverages, wine, etc. and Darlene, wow Darlene went out of her way as well to get back to me about any question I had online. In fact, we had originally booked a different room as the masters were not available at the time we booked. When I called back and there was a Master's available there was NO issue to change the room. 5 star to my husband and I is cleanliness, quality, privacy, hospitality and enjoyment. We had all of the above at our last two visits and we are VERY confident we will again at our third visit. Several of my friends have stayed at the couples resort, my in-laws as well, and none of them have had a negative visit. If you are looking for a private, romantic, outstanding place to stay, then Couples Resort is THEEEEE place. And to Couples Resort : thank you so much for the wonderful visit and memories. We look so forward to our next stay. Kyla and Brent Duguay |

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the Couples Resort for the incredible week we just spent with you! We were in Exotic Suite "India" and loved everything about our stay, from the private hot tub on our deck, the huge jacuzzi in our room, the super comfy furniture, the outstanding food in the dining room, the most entertaining sunset pontoon boat cruise and the way each of you made us feel so special. We have already started recommending the Couples Resort to all of our friends and family, and can't wait to book a return visit in the fall! Ron and Kathy Lelanc |

On July 10th we had our 12th anniversary dinner at your resort and it was fabulous. The service, meal and setting were all 5 star plus. After dinner we went on Frank's boat tour and it was also a great experience and very entertaining. We plan to come back! Darren and Kelly Luckasavitch Darren Luckasavitch |

My husband and I just spent our 1 year anniversary at the resort and i must say, it was a big disappointment. From the ridiculous hidden charges to overcharging us from what they sent us in our confirmation email. I highly suggest spending your money somewhere else that at least you get the value for it. Thank you to the Couples Resort for the wonderful weekend we had at your resort on June 18-20, 2010. We had a fabulous time! We stayed in the Degas Master's Jr. Suite - the room was so luxurious, the bed was so comfortable, and we enjoyed both the whirlpool tub and the hot tub on the balcony! The food at the resort was wonderful, and we especially liked the breakfast room-service - a real treat! We enjoyed the horseback riding on Saturday - the trail guide was great. We will definitely return in September to celebrate our 2nd anniversary! Thank you again for the wonderful weekend - it was fantastic! Evelyn Doucett |
